Study English in BYRON BAY, one of Australia's most unique tourist destinations. It is situated 178 km South of Brisbane. It is Australia's most Easterly land point and the shape of its coast line is one reason for its popularity.  Byron Bay attracts people from many parts of the world. THE SCHOOL
The English Language School opened in 1998 with the aim of providing high quality English language tuition in a beautiful and natural environment and to compliment this educational experience with a range of activity options.
Location The school is located in the central part of Byron Bay, 2 minutes walk from the bus stop. Outside the classrooms there is a sheltered outdoor garden area for students to relax, eat lunch and enjoy conversations with other students.

Quality
The English Language School is fully accredited with NEAS Australia. NEAS is an industry based organisation that maintains quality assurance for English language schools in Australia. It stands for quality. We are also a member of the Australian Council For Private Education and Training - ACPET.

We offer intensive General English courses for international students and travellers.We also offer a selection of activities to complement our part time English courses -surfing, diving, activities and music.

All students take an initial assessment test, which includes an interview with a teacher and a grammar/ vocabulary examination. Students are then placed in a suitable class and issued with a weekly timetable.
Our timetable offers classes each morning from 9am until 12.30pm. All students, part and full time, attend morning classes. Some part time classes are held in the afternoon during busy periods
General English -
Full Time Students attend 25 h of classes per week, 3 hour in the morning from 9.00 am to 12.30 am, 90 minutes of tuition 1.30 - 3.00 pm plus 30 minutes of self access study from 3.00pm until 3.30 pm. Classes focus on effective communication in English. Teachers use modern texts, audio/ videotapes, local newspapers and magazines to improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Duration: 2 - 48 weeks, levels: elementary to advanced.
General English - Part Time
Students attend 15 h of classes per week, from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm.
Students may apply for a tourist visaCambridge examinations provide successful students with an internationally recognised certificate of English language proficiency.
The course prepares students for the FCE and CAE Cambridge Examinations held each year in March, June and December. CAE and FCE classes are seperate. Focus is on speaking reading listening and writing and includes a full practise test under exam conditions, class size: 10 students
Duration: 12 weeks: March and September
Pre- Examination
All students who wish to enrol for these course must complete a pre-examination. The results of your examination will determine your suitability to take this course.
English + Activities
Students study part time English every morning and do 4 afternoon activities each week. Students take part in activities to motivate the use of their English skills in our community as well as to experience some of the wonderful things our town has to offer. These include: sea-kayaking with dolphins, surfing, bush walking, mountain biking, yoga, golf, make / learn didjeridoo, visits to studios of local artists / musicians, river canoeing, bingo, art classes, dolphin + whale watching, massage course, horse riding, jewelry classes, trapeze lessons, etc.
Farm Stays
Students can live and work on a WWOOFA farm. These are organic farms situated on the Northern Coast, not far from Byron Bay. Students receive free board in exchange for 4-6 hours of work per day. This option is available after a student has completed a minimum two-week course.

Transport to Byron Bay
Byron Bay is situated 820km North of Sydney and 178km South of Brisbane. The nearest airport is at Ballina, 30 kilometres South from Byron Bay.We will meet you at the airport. One of our representatives will greet you at Brisbane International Airport and transfer you ( 178 km) to Byron Bay by car. This service is often the best choice after a long flight from your country. Please ask us for our airport pick up details if you are arriving in Brisbane.
